3 Keys To Starting A Small Business
3 Keys To Starting A Small Business
Since most start-up small businesses fail, how can you succeed?
Before we answer this question, who am I? Over the past few years, I have created and sold 4 small businesses, and they all continue to be successful, so I know something about this subject.
Now let's move on to the highlights:
Planning
It is important to know what, when, why, where and how you are going to start your business. If you don't have a clear focus, don't even try, it will just be a waste of your time and energy.
In addition, you will want to take all available courses that can help you achieve your goals. For example, in my case, before starting my last venture, I received a 3 certificate in business studies, a diploma in digital marketing, a diploma in sales and a diploma in project management.
Practice
By practice, I mean not just immersion in work and on-the-job training, no, what will really help you is watching how SUCCESSFUL people have started the same business that you are trying to start. How can you do that? One of the most effective ways is to get a job in the industry in which you are going to work. Once you do that, watch the process. If this is a really successful business, they will have a highly organized and efficient process.
Another possibility is actually starting a business. I know, I know, I said don't do this, however there is a slight difference in this sentence. Start a business without any expectations. Become a marketing director, customer service manager, sales director, etc... do everything yourself. The problem with this approach is that it will take up a huge amount of time, which will be saved if you can work in a successful business that someone else started. Yes, this proposal is the more difficult of the two ways, however, what it does is move from theory to full practical knowledge of the industry in order to fully immerse yourself in it.
Pursue
There is a reason why 4 out of 5 small business startups fail: the reward is hard to get, and it takes an excessive amount of time to achieve it. How can you overcome this obstacle?
The key is to keep going. You need to be focused on your goal and never look away or get distracted from that goal. How long can you focus on your goal? Only you can answer this question! However, in fact, it will take you several years to really get ahead in your endeavor. If you are one of those who gives up easily, you really shouldn't try to start a business. Instead, look for a well-paid job.
Advantages
If it's all such hard work, why bother? The reward can be huge. Let 's consider just a few:
* Time - Stick to a flexible schedule, spend more time with your family or other priorities.
* Passive income - depending on the type of business you are going to start, it can continue to bring you income even when you are not working.
* Capital gains - you have the opportunity to achieve significant income from the costs associated with opening your business.
